Nexus Defense


The Team

This game was developed by WeDoGames, a small group of people who got together after the degree. The team consisted of 6 people, including myself. We were 3 programmers, 1 artist, 1 designer, and 1 musician.


The Project

The game is a fast-paced tower defense settled in a foreign planet where different types of monsters try to destroy your nexus. It is a tower defense without predefined paths. Your nexus is in the center of the terrain, and you must defend it from the monsters coming from all sides. For that purpose, you have a certain amount of turrets that you can combine in order to kill them. In addition, you can use some active skills that will harm the enemies.

The length of the project was 6 months. We released a fully playable demo and decided to move on to other projects.


My Role

In this project, I was in charge of programming all the behaviors of the turrets. Detecting enemies, firing at them, slowing them down, generating projectiles, and so on. All those kinds of details were done by me. A total of 17 turrets were made for this game, many of them with particular behaviors. Here are some of these turrets:
